About Roozbeh
Roozbeh and his wife have been proud members of the Richmond Hill community for over a decade. As a devoted father to twins, he is committed to ensuring Richmond Hill remains an ideal place for families to thrive, and he is passionate about making it a top choice for young families to build their future.
Roozbeh is laser focused on tackling the issues that matter most to Richmond Hill residents and that includes fighting to improve community safety, advocating for more affordable housing options for families, and addressing the rising cost of living to ensure a better quality of life for all.
Born in Iran, Roozbeh immigrated to Canada as a young boy with his family. Determined to seize the opportunities Canada offered, he has worked tirelessly to build a life centered on giving back. This commitment to service has defined his career and community involvement.
Over the past 20 years, Roozbeh has built a successful career at two of Canada’s leading banks, RBC and Scotiabank. Currently, he leads a team of Business Banking Advisors at Scotiabank. He holds an MBA from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University.
Roozbeh’s passion for public service began when he volunteered during the 1999 election. Since then, he has been an active participant in local elections, working to improve Richmond Hill by fostering community engagement and supporting initiatives that address local challenges. He also helped organize a local town hall on community safety, bringing together municipal representatives and the York Regional Police to address residents’ concerns.
Roozbeh has been active on multiple boards, including the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, reflecting his dedication to community involvement and giving back. He co-founded Hearts for Hunger, an initiative that has delivered over 700 hot meals to those in need.
As a devoted father and community leader, Roozbeh is remains committed to tackling community safety, cost of living and creating an environment where families continue to choose to live, work, and grow in Richmond Hill.
